I liked how real all the characters seemed and the author’s depiction of the Southwest. Very interesting. The best part of the book, though, is how the courts really work. This is a well-crafted book with lots of unexpected twists and a very satisfying ending. A great read.
Hollywood used to make lots of movies about men wrongly accused of murder. This book takes that premise one step further because you don’t know if the guy is guilty or not. But what I really like about this book is all the details about what criminal courts are really like. It’s nothing like you see on television. The author knows the inside story. I found this really interesting.

A good , pacey thriller that keeps you turning the pages.
This book might be really good BUT it was a better sleeping pill for me. I just couldn't get "into" the plot.
I would have given it four stars if it had been edited better. So many mistakes that spell check cannot catch because they're not misspelled words but words used incorrectly.
This book reminded me of Presumed Innocent in that we really don’t know if the narrator is a killer or not. He’s certainly made a lot of bad, personal decisions. I found this to be a fascinating take on the traditional murder mystery and highly recommend it.
